Salam,today,i would like to write down a piece of information about biotechnology,,,
since i m going 
to study this course soon,,,ecece,,,

1st,,,biotechnology refer to 
techniques by scientist to modify deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or the genetic material of a microorganism,plant or an animal to achieve a desired trait,,addition from myself,,,then we will produce new organism or something that is more better than what we already have,,,for example,,a palm which has a thick kernel with thin shell,,opss,,sorry if i got it wrong,,,another example is a palm which don't need a sufficient fertiliser,,water,,,and resistant to infection and diseases,,,p/s=i don't know yet know what type of disease or infections,,,all above example are maybe done in the future soon as i finished my studies abroad,,,amin...

2nd,,,biotechnology refer to 

the field of biology that involves the use of living things in engineering,technology,medicine,etc,,,Modern use of the term of genetic engineering as well as tissue-culture techniques,,And what is genetic engineering mainly about?in simplest words,,it is another branch of biology,which focuses mainly on making food,animals and better plants adapted to feed the need of humans,,,it uses the techniques of molecular cloning and transformation to that one thing,,,And what does tissue-culture tecniques?

Mainly,,it is about a practice used to propagate plants under sterile conditions,often to produce clone of plants,,by transferring 2 cell of different plants to another sterile medium,,,producing new plants,,addition from myself(using certain techniques),,
